With her site-specific work Metamorphosis, Miriam Hamann refers to the topographical and geographical characteristics of Lake Wolfgang. It takes up the deepest point of the lake and translates it into a light sculpture on the shore. As a shining symbol in the landscape, the installation not only reflects the measured depth of the lake upwards, but also refers to 114 meters of invisible living space that is hidden beneath the surface of the water.
Using sine tones whose wavelengths are multiples of 114 meters and sound recordings of the electromagnetic field of the installation's neon lights, Jana Irmert creates a site-specific sound performance of shifting and rhythmically oscillating character.
